A1-1: Please note on the plans that the following codes are in effect: 2013 California Building Code, 2013 California Fire Code, 2013 California Plumbing Code, 2013 California Mechanical Code, 2013 California Electric Code, 2010 California Energy Standards, 2013 California Green Building Code and the 2013 California Residential Code. 3. A1-1: Please state the occupancy group, construction type and whether the building is Sprinklered or Non-sprinklered on the plans. (ie. A-2/VB, Sprinklered) 4. A1-1: Please specify the proposed occupant load for both exiting and required plumbing fixtures. Please provide calculations. CBC 1004.1, CPC 422.0 5. A1-1: Please correct notation regarding Braille signage. Installation height is 48-inches at the bottom to 60-inches at the top. CBC 11B-703.4 6. A1-1: The International Symbol of Accessibility (ISA) is located next to the restroom door on the latch side. CBC 11B-703.4.2 7. A1-1: Please locate and detail accessible parking, signage and path of travel to the entrance. 8. A-1: In addition to required Braille signage. Please detail tactile and pictorial signage for the restroom. 9. A-1: Please detail accessible signage at the entry. CBC 11B-216.6 10. A-1: Please indicate accessible dining areas for both inside and outside dining. Please detail table height. 11. A-1: Please detail knee and toe space requirements (CBC 11B-306) at the order and pick-up counter. BCB 11B-904.4.2 12. A-1: Doors 2 and 3 are single leaf on the plans and two doors on the schedule and are indicated as existing. Please clarify. 13. A-1: Proposed employee lockers shall be accessible. Please detail. 14. A-1: Please locate and detail required high/low drinking fountains. CPC Table 422.1, CBC 11B-212.1 15. A-1: Please detail drink dispenser and indicate reach ranges. CBC 11B-308 16. A-1: Please provide an exit from the patio and detail exit discharge. CBC 1020.1 17. T24: Please complete the mandatory features on pg 1 of 3 on form NRCC-LTI-02-E. 19. E-1: Please note on the plans that Non-Residential Lighting Control Acceptance Testing & Certification is required by final inspection. 20. E-1: Please clarify if there is lighting on the patio and detail as applicable. 21. P-1: Please indicate a vent for the floor sink at the top of the building drain. 22. P-2: Water heater installations in bedrooms and bathrooms shall be in accordance with one of the following: (1) Fuel-burning water heaters installed in a closet located in the bedroom or bathroom the closet shall be equipped with a listed, gasketed door assembly and a listed self-closing device. Combustion air for such installations shall be obtained from the outdoors in accordance with Section 506.4. The closet shall be for the exclusive use of the water heater. (2) Water heater shall be of the direct vent type. 23. P-2: To clarify the proposed gas piping. Please provide a gas line schematic that indicates BTU values of all proposed gas appliances, the developed length from the meter to each appliance outlet, the minimum pipe size and the proposed gas pipe material. CPC 1215.0 and Table 1216.2(1) 24. P-2: Please confirm that the proposed on demand water heater is only 40,000 BTU’s. Typically on demand units have a much higher BTU rating. Please specify proposed make and model. 25. Please locate or provide required short term and long term bicycle parking. CGBC 5.106.4 26. Please indicate that plumbing fixtures shall meet the maximum flow rates, kitchen faucet 1.8gpm @ 60psi, water closet 1.28gpf, urinal 0.5gpf, shower head 2.0gpm @ 80psi and lavy faucet 0.5gpm @ 60psi. CGBC 5.303.2 27. Please provide a construction waste management plan. CGBC 5.408.1 28. Please develop a written plan of procedures for testing and adjusting systems. Systems to be included for testing and adjusting shall include, as applicable to the project: 1. HVAC systems and controls 2. Indoor and outdoor lighting and controls. 3. Water heating systems 4. Renewable energy systems 5. Landscape irrigation systems. 6. Water reuse systems. CGBC 5.410.4.2 29. Please indicate on the plan set that a HVAC balancing report is required prior to final inspection. CGBC 5.410.4.4 30. Provide the building owner or representative with detailed operating and maintenance instructions and copies of guaranties/warranties for each system. O & M instructions shall be consistent with OSHA requirements in CCR, Title 8, Section 5142, and other related regulations. CBBC 5.410.4.5 31. Please specify the VOC limits for adhesive and finishes for the proposed project or provide the applicable tables from section 5.504 per CGBC.
