CDI - Application Status

1.       Please provide a site plan that locates the building and tenant space within that building.  Include existing (or new) accessible route to the entrance from the public way and accessible parking space. 

2.        Please include supply, drain, waste and vent plans for the installation of new plumbing fixtures.  Include specifications for materials.  [2013 CPC ]

3.       Please include mechanical duct sizing and material specifications.  Include energy compliance forms new ductwork and include requirements on the mechanical plans to correspond. [2013 CA Energy Standards and CMC Ch. 6]

4.       Please include energy compliance forms for the altered exterior windows, as new windows are proposed to replace the old.  Include specifications for these new windows on the plans to correspond with the energy compliance forms and glazing requirements in CBC Ch. 24.  [2013 CA Energy Standards]

5.       Please coordinate the lighting fixtures in the energy documents with the symbols legend on Sheet A2.2 .  The number and type of fixtures need to be revised to correspond.

6.       Please include lighting controls on the plans and electrical symbols on Sheet A2.2 to correspond with the mandatory requirements listed on page 1 of 3 on the LT1 forms on Sheet T2.

7.       Please locate and specify the size of the electrical panel to serve the tenant space.

8.       Please include partition wall details and specifications.  Include top and bottom connections to support this wall framing. 

9.       Please specify the break room sink height such that the counter or rim is not more than 34” above the finish floor.  The sink faucet shall be lever type of hand operated meter type (open for 10 seconds min.).  [CBC 11B-206.2.8, 212 & 606]

1.       A proposed occupancy diagram is shown on A1.0.  The total occupant load of 59 is excessive, as the assembly area use will only be in the waiting areas and not other areas of the salon.  The fixed seats should be counted, but the remaining business area should use the occupant load factor of 100.  Please revise the occupant load calculations.  Building areas with an occupant load of 50 or more have more restrictive requirements.  Please revise A1.0 and notes on A2.1 for accuracy.  [CBC  1004]

2.        Please include daylight areas on the plans and show separate controls for these light fixtures.  [CA Energy Standard 130.1(d)2]

3.       Please include mechanical ventilation airflow specifications on A2.2 to correspond with the energy document NRCC-MCH-03-E. 

4.       Please coordinate the type and number of light fixtures shown on A2.2 with the energy compliance form NRCC-LT1-01-E with the fixtures shown and identified on Sheet A2.2.  There are more pendant types shown on A2.2.  Also, the waiting room/lobby area light fixtures do not match the energy form.

5.        Please coordinate the lighting legend information with the lighting specifications on A2.2.
