We have reviewed plans for the above subject project. THE PLANS HAVE BEEN DENIED.
Please have the DESIGNER add appropriate NOTES and DETAILS showing this information and RESUBMIT plans, VIA COUNTY, with an annotated copy of this letter.
NOTE on the plans that these plans are in compliance with California Building and Fire Codes (2013) as amended by the Central Fire Protection District.
NOTE on the plans construction classification as determined by the building official and outlined in Part IV of the California Building Code.
NOTE on the plans that the building is protected by an approved automatic sprinkler system complying with NFPA 13. A licensed fire sprinkler contractor shall survey the area of the TI to determine proper coverage and spacing. A letter of compliance shall be presented to inspector at time of inspection if no fire sprinkler work is required. Otherwise, plans shall be submitted prior to any alterations to the existing fire sprinkler system.
NOTE on the plans that the designer/installer shall submit two (2) sets of plans, calculations, and cut sheets for the automatic sprinkler system to this agency for approval. Installation shall follow our guide sheet. Cut sheets shall include, but not limited to piping, valves, gauges, and sprinkler heads. All inspector test valves and drain valves must drain to sanitary sewer, oil sand separator, or bio swale. At no time may any of these valves drain to the storm drain system.
NOTE on the plans, If alterations are made to the fire sprinkler system, a current five year fire sprinkler certification shall be presented to the fire inspector prior to final inspection.
SHOW location of fire extinguishers.
SHOW where the address numbers will be posted and maintained, plainly visible from the street. Numbers shall be a minimum of six (6) inches in height and of a color contrasting to their background.
SHOW location of Knox Box and key.
The job copies of the building and fire systems plans and permits must be on-site during inspections.

Based upon a review of the plans submitted, District requirements appear to have been met, and PLANS ARE APPROVED FOR PERMIT.
The job copies of the building and fire system plans and permits must be on-site during inspection.
Submit a check in the amount of $830.40 for this particular plan check, made payable to Central Fire Protection District. INVOICE MAILED TO OWNER OF RECORD. Other fees may be incurred. Please contact the Fire Prevention Secretary for total fees due for your project. Fire District fees must be paid and a receipt for District fees must be presented to the County Planning Department before Building Permit issuance.
Upon completion of the above listed requirements please call the Fire Prevention Division to set up an appointment for an inspection. You will be asked for an address and Assessors Parcel Number (APN). A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS NOTICE to the fire department is required prior to inspection.
