1. When the adjusted construction cost does not exceed the current valuation threshold of $150,244, accessibility compliance for existing features shall be provided; but in no case shall the cost of compliance be less than 20 percent of the adjusted construction cost of alterations, structural repairs or additions. The adjusted construction cost of alterations, structural repairs or additions shall not include the cost of alterations to path of travel elements required to comply with Section 11 B-202.4.
In choosing which accessible elements to provide, priority should be given to those elements that will provide the greatest access in the following order:
1. An accessible entrance;
2. An accessible route to the altered area;
3. At least one accessible restroom for each sex;
4. Accessible telephones (if provided and required);
5. Accessible drinking fountains (if provided and required); and
6. When possible, additional accessible elements such as parking, storage and alarms.

Please revise the plans to show required upgrades for accessible features. The only existing feature that does not appear to comply is the location of the accessible parking. Parking spaces are required to be dispersed for buildings with multiple entrances or tenant spaces. [CBC 11B-203.3.1]
2. A built in feature wall is shown on Sheet A4.2. Please specify the wall materials and application.
3. Please identify primary and secondary daylit zones on the electrical plans, Sheet A8.1. Show and specify separate switching and controls. [CA Energy § 130.1(d)2, 140.6(d)]
4. Please include lighting fixture specifications on A8.1 to correspond to the energy compliance documents.
5. Please provide a gas line schematic that indicates BTU values of all existing and proposed gas appliances, the developed length from the meter to each appliance outlet, the minimum pipe size and the proposed gas pipe material. [CPC 1216.0 and Table 1216.2(1) ]
6. Please correct the site plan sheet number to A1.0.
7. Please provide an outdoor air balance design for the kitchen ventilation system. The design outdoor air balance shall indicate the exhaust and replacement air for the facility and the net exfiltration where applicable. The total replacement airflow rate shall equal the total exhaust airflow rate and the net exfiltration. [CMC 511.3.1]
8. Please verify and note that the roof termination of the exhaust for the hood shall be a minimum 10’ away from an air intake and at least 5’ from combustible construction. [CMC 510.9.1]
