1. General: Please revise and provide all necessary items per the SCC handout. 2. Codes: Please note on the plans that the following codes are in effect: 2016 California Building Code, 2016 California Fire Code, 2016 California Plumbing Code, 2016 California Mechanical Code, 2016 California Electric Code, 2016 California Green Building Standards, and 2016 California Energy Standards. Also note on plans that construction must be installed per Santa Cruz County Code Amendments.

5. WUI: Show complete WUI code compliance for all aspects of the proposed work on the plans including: glazing, doors, decking, exterior finishes, covered outdoor areas, roofing, vents, gutter guards, etc. Specify products and provide 2 copies of OSFM approval documents or incorporate the OSFM approval documents onto the plan sheets. WUI compliance information can be found at CRC R337 and OSFM approval documents can be found at http://osfm.fire.ca.gov/licensinglistings/licenselisting_bml_searchcotest.
6. Covered Outdoor Area: The proposed venting is not allowed in WUI. Provide complete details and OSFM approvals for proposed design. Gutters are required, show gutters and debris guards.
7. Exterior Elevations: Show areas of new siding, show approximate square footage of siding, and provide WUI compliant details. See above for more information.
8. Non-Conventional Construction: Non-conventional construction is proposed. Include structural calculations for both vertical and lateral loads. Include design of beams, posts, footings, and shear resistive construction. Plans related to the calculations and the cover sheet of the calculations shall be signed by a licensed architect or registered engineer for that portion that they are responsible. 9. Foundation: The proposed foundation is not code compliant. See above for more information.
10. Exterior Outlets @ Balconies, Decks, and Porches: Each balcony, deck, and porch shall have at least one readily accessible outlet not more than 6 ½ feet above the walking surface, be GFCI protected, and have a weatherproof enclosure. CEC 210.52(E)(3), 210.8(A)(3), 406.9(A)&(B)
11. Residential Exterior Lighting: Lighting is required at the porch, show lighting and controls. All luminaires shall be high efficacy, controlled by a manual ON and OFF switch that does not override to ON and controlled by a photocell and motion sensor, or other methods allowed by CEnC 150.0(k)3.
