Building Review

Review No:1

1. Please identify and/or specify fire wall construction complying with CBC 706, between the proposed bank and the adjacent space in order to accept the allowable area calculations, which assumes separate buildings. [CBC 503.1]



2. Please provide structural plans for the ceiling support framing depicted in the pod elevation detail 2/A-5.4.



3. Provide connection details and/or specifications for the compression strut at suspended ceilings to the roof/ceiling framing.



4. The lighting forms for energy compliance are based on a prescriptive method. The energy forms for envelope and mechanical are based on a performance method and do not include lighting. Please coordinate the energy compliance forms. Either the performance method or prescriptive method shall be used. [CA Energy ยง140(c)]



5. The performance documents for energy compliance use 4750 square feet for conditioned floor area. Please revise the forms using the 3118 square feet shown on the plans.



6. Please coordinate the mechanical systems shown on the plans with the energy compliance documents for the number of units, ventilation systems, duct locations, etc. Include all energy compliance forms on the drawings.



7. Please provide verification that the modular vault (MV) is approved and listed either by UL or other approval agency. The MV shall be installed according to the approved listing.



8. Plans for the MV include a note "Preliminary Not For Construction" and also note final details need to be determined by the engineering department before ordering. Please provide final plans for the MV that are stamped and signed by the responsible architect or note this will be a deferred submittal. Coordinate structural and electrical plans with the MV plans and installation guide. Deferred submittal items shall not be installed until their design and submittal documents have been approved by the Building Official. Documents for deferred submittal items must be reviewed by the registered design professional in responsible charge. The documents shall include a review stamp and/or a notation indicating that they have been reviewed and are in general conformance with the design of the building [CBC 107.3.4.2]


Additional plan review and processing fees will be charged for any deferred submittal.

9. Please bookmark all sheets for Bluebeam Revu. The MEP sheets and MV sheets were not bookmarked in the first submittal.
