Sanitation Review

Review No:1

The (exterior) grease line shown upstream from the new grease trap is proposed as being at a 1% slope.  The prescriptive minimum slope is 2% for privately maintained lines. Either increase the slope to 2% or provide calculations to show a flow velocity of at least 3fps.

The grease interceptor is shown at 3,000 gal.  Please provide a description of the size and type of businesses that will be proposed for connection to this tank.  Provide estimates of the quantity of seats and types and numbers of fixtures to be connected.

It shall be a condition of any approval of this permit that the property owner agrees to maintain the on-site sewer system (including all interceptors) to the satisfaction of the Sanitation District.  Provide a letter from the property owner agreeing to sign a sewer maintenance agreement, to be developed by the Sanitation District.

Submit a proposed maintenance schedule for the jetting and other cleaning as required of the grease waste and sanitary sewer lines from their beginning at the rear of the property all the way to the connection with the public sewer main in Soquel Dr.  This schedule will be used as a basis for the sewer maintenance agreement.
