The existing bus stop provides just enough room for a bus to pull off of the road and not obstruct the bike lane, the proposal is to narrow the bus turnout in order to accommodate the shelter improvements which would cause the bus to completely block the bike lane.The depth of the bus stop should remain as is and the shelter improvements should be pushed back into the property. See comments from Public Works Transportation Engineer. 2. The sidewalk should have 4’ clear maneuvering room around obstacles, the sign pole for the bus stop appears to block this in the current configuration.
