The Aptos/LaSelva Fire Protection District has reviewed the plans for the above cited project and the following corrections are required before approval can be obtained.
Please add the appropriate NOTES, DETAILS and INFORMATION on your plans and RESUBMIT with an annotated copy of this letter. All changes to drawings will require "clouding of the change".
NOTE on the plans “these plans are in compliance with California Building and Fire Codes (2016 edition) and Aptos/LaSelva Fire Protection District Amendments.”
NOTE on the plans “the FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM drawings must be prepared and submitted for approval by a California State Licensed Contractor (Class A, or C-16) meeting the requirements of NFPA-13, “Standard for the Installation of Fire Sprinkler Systems”. Designer/installer shall submit two (2) sets of plans and calculations to this agency for approval.”
NOTE on the plans “the fire alarm designer/installer shall submit two (2) sets of plans and calculations for the Fire Alarm System to this agency for approval.”
ONLY one exterior door may have a deadbolt. Suggest that door D2 become the emergency EXIT and that the locking/latching hardware be changed out to panic hardware. Door D1 can remain as shown with the sign above this door stating “THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHILE OCCUPIED as noted in Key Notes and in the plan.

Based upon a review of the plans submitted, District requirements appear
to have been met, and PLANS ARE APPROVED FOR PERMIT.
The job copies of the building and fire system plans and permits must be
on-site during inspection.
Submit a check in the amount of $805.50 for this particular plan check, made payable
to:

A Late Fee may be added to
your plan check fees if payment is not received within 30 days of the date of this letter.
Please contact the Community Risk Coordinator for total fees due for
your project. Fire District fees must be
paid and a receipt for District fees must be presented to the ?County
Planning Department or ?City of Capitola before Building Permit
issuance.
Upon completion of the above listed requirements please call the Community
Risk Division to set up an appointment for an inspection. You will be asked for an address and
Assessors Parcel Number (APN). A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS NOTICE to the
fire department is required prior to inspection.
