We require the additional information listed below in order to complete our review. Please add the appropriate NOTES, DETAILS and INFORMATION on your plans and RESUBMIT with an annotated copy of this letter. All changes to drawings will require "clouding of the change". Each APN (lot) shall have separate submittals for building and sprinkler system plans. NOTE on the plans “these plans are in compliance with California Building and Fire Codes (2016 edition) and Aptos/La Selva Fire District Amendments.” NOTE on the plans “the REQUIRED and AVAILABLE FIRE FLOW. FIRE FLOW requirements for this project is 1,500 gallons per minute. The AVAILABLE FIRE FLOW information can be obtained from the water company. The minimum fire-flow requirements shall not be less than that specified in Appendix Table B105.1 of the California Fire Code.” NOTE on the plans “the FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM drawings must be prepared and submitted for approval by a California State Licensed Contractor (Class A, or C-16) meeting the requirements of NFPA-13, “Standard for the Installation of Fire Sprinkler Systems”. Designer/installer shall submit three (3) sets of plans and calculations to this agency for approval.” NOTE on the plans, “when servicing more than 20 sprinklers, automatic fire sprinkler systems shall be supervised by an approved Central, Proprietary, or Remote Station or an approved local alarm which will give an audible signal at a constantly (24 hour) attended location.” Monitoring of the sprinkler system by a constantly attended location, U.L. Central Station may be required due to special circumstances. As part of final approval, the fire alarm system will be required to be recertified by a licensed fire alarm company. A copy will be provided to the Aptos/La Selva Fire Protection District. Prior to making any alterations on the fire alarm system, plans must be submitted to the Aptos/La Selva Fire Protection District for plan check and approval. NOTE on the plans “building numbers shall be provided. Numbers shall be a minimum of six (6) inches in height on a contrasting background and visible from the street. Where numbers are not visible from the street, additional numbers shall be installed on a directional sign at the property driveway and the street.” SHOW location of the Knox Box. NOTE on the plans, A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS NOTICE to the fire department is required prior to inspection. NOTE on the plans” the job copies of the building and fire systems plans and permits must be on-site during inspections.” Note: As a condition of submittal of these plans, the submitter, designer and installer certify that these plans and details comply with applicable Specifications, Standards, Codes and Ordinances, agree that they are solely responsible for compliance with applicable Specifications, Standards, Codes and Ordinances, and further agree to correct any deficiencies noted by this review, subsequent review, inspection or other source, and, to hold harmless and without prejudice, the reviewer and reviewing agency. February 28, 2019 Rite Aid Corporation c/o Juan Sanchez L R Architecture 217 West Alameda Ave Burbank CA 91502 Dear Property Owner: Based upon a review of the plans submitted, District requirements appear to have been met, and PLANS ARE APPROVED FOR PERMIT. A service fee of $622.13 is due and payable to the Aptos/La Selva Fire Department PRIOR TO APPROVAL of permit application. Reminder: the enclosed original color copy Permit/Service Fees form must be certified by the Aptos/La Selva Fire Department at time of payment. Certified form must be submitted to the County for completion of permit process. As a reminder, an automatic fire alarm system will still be required as a part of this project. Plans shall be submitted for approval to the fire district prior to altering the existing fire alarm system. The job copies of the building and fire system plans and permits must be on-site during inspection. ________________________________________ Upon completion of the Fire Department requirements please call the Fire Prevention Division to set up an appointment for an inspection. You will be asked for your permit number and assessors parcel number.
