Upon review
of the plans for the above-cited project, the following corrections are
required before approval can be obtained.
?Please add the appropriate NOTES, DETAILS and
INFORMATION on your plans and RESUBMIT
with an annotated copy of this letter.
All changes to drawings will require "clouding of the change".
?NOTE on the plans “the building shall be
protected by an approved fire alarm system complying with the currently adopted
edition of NFPA 72, and adopted standards of Aptos/La Selva Fire Protection
District or Central Fire Protection District.”
The building does have a monitored fire alarm system at this time,
however modifications to the Shell system for the building may be required due
to alterations of the ceiling, walls, or other compartments.
TI unit
shall have the proposed changes evaluated by the licensed C-10 Fire Alarm
Contractor to determine if modifications are required.
If
modifications are required:
?NOTE on the plans that fire alarm plans shall
be a deferred submittal.
?NOTE on the plans “the designer/installer
shall submit two (2) sets of plans and calculations for the Fire Alarm System
to the agency of reference for approval.”
Prior to
making any alterations on the fire alarm system, plans must be submitted to the
agency of reference for plan check and approval.
?SHOW
on the floor plan, location of a 2A:10BC fire extinguishers.
?NOTE on the plans “building numbers shall be
provided. Numbers shall be a minimum of
six (6) inches in height on a contrasting background and visible from the
street. Where numbers are not visible from the street, additional numbers shall
be installed on a directional sign at the property driveway and the street.
?NOTE on the plans” the job copies of the
building and fire systems plans and permits must be on-site during
inspections.”

Based upon a review of the plans submitted, District requirements appear
to have been met, and PLANS ARE APPROVED FOR PERMIT.
The job copies of the building and fire system plans and permits must be
on-site during inspection.
Submit a check in the amount of $508.50
for this particular plan check, made payable to:
? Central Fire Protection District
? Aptos/La Selva Fire Protection District
INVOICE MAILED TO OWNER OF RECORD.
A Late Fee may be added to
your plan check fees if payment is not received within 30 days of the date of this letter.
Please contact the Community Risk Coordinator for total fees due for
your project. Fire District fees must be
paid and a receipt for District fees must be presented to the ?County
Planning Department or ?City of Capitola before Building Permit
issuance.
Upon completion of the above listed requirements please call the Community
Risk Division to set up an appointment for an inspection. You will be asked for an address and Assessor’s
Parcel Number (APN). A MINIMUM OF 48 HOURS NOTICE to the
fire department is required prior to inspection.
