Review No:1The garage conversion to 3 living units, leasing office, laundry requires the installation of a fire sprinkler system installed to the requirements of NFPA 13 for a light hazard. The civil plans do not reflect any fire service underground to this structure. A connection to the new fire main is required to meet the demand design. SHOW an extension from the site fire service main to the structure. This main will require the installation of a Post Indicator valve (PIV), in ground check (depending on fire sprinkler contractors' design) and a fire department connection (FDC). Best location for the PIV and FDC will be at the curb edge leading to the ADA parking space in front of the building and in an area where the keynote "J" is shown.
