Review No:1Sanitation District Review Comments: No. 1 Date of Review: 03-09-2021 Permit #: B-211385, APN: 044-282-57, Situs Address: 215 Meadowlark
This review was based on plans submitted for the subject project entitled Mary and Dave Franceschi prepared by RWS Architects dated 03-09-2021.
Corrections required: 1.) Sheet A1. Note 5 indicates that the existing sanitary sewer shall be inspected. However, no sewer lateral video inspection has yet been uploaded for this parcel. Per District Ordinance Section 7.04.375 A.3.e, applications that increase the number of installed drainage fixtures of a sewer connection require that the existing sanitary sewer lateral be video inspected by a licensed plumber PRIOR to issuance of building permit. A copy of the video and inspection report must be uploaded to County Sanitation’s cloud storage (on box.com) for review. County staff will review and issue a determination of necessary sewer lateral repairs. • If repairs are required, a separate sewer repair permit shall be issued (no-fee). The repairs must be inspected and approved by the Sanitation Inspector before the County will issue final approval of the project. • Include revised plans with sufficient layout, details, and specifications for the contractor to repair the sewer lateral in accordance with the County’s issued repair requirements. • Further details regarding the sewer lateral video inspection requirements can be found here: https://sccsd.us/sewer-lateral-program/
Design and Construction Standards: The project sewer design and connection of the project to the Santa Cruz County Sanitation District system will be required to conform to the County of Santa Cruz Design Criteria (CDC) Part 4, Sanitary Sewer Design, latest edition. https://www.dpw.co.santa-cruz.ca.us/Portals/19/pdfs/Design%20Crit/DESIGNCRITERIA.pdf
Sewer Connection Fees: Per CA Government Code section 65852.2, New ADUs shall be charged a reduced sewer connection fee proportional to their increased sewer discharge (Drainage Fixture Units per CPC Table 702.1).
