Corrections Required:
1.) Sheet C-1: Sewer Lateral Notes #1 refer to the Sanitation District’s sewer lateral video inspection requirement. These notes are accurate, but a sewer lateral video inspection has not yet been submitted for this parcel. Please submit a video inspection of the existing sewer lateral prior to issuance of a building permit.
2.) Please resubmit plans including any sewer lateral repair comments issued by County Sanitation staff based on the sewer lateral video inspection (see plan check comment #1). Include the location of the required repairs on the site plans and notes indicating the details of the required sewer lateral repairs. • If no defects are found to be present in the sewer lateral, then this plan review comment shall be removed at the time of the next resubmittal.
Design and Construction Standards: (no response required) The project sewer design and connection of the project to the Santa Cruz County Sanitation District system will be required to conform to the County of Santa Cruz Design Criteria (CDC) Part 4, Sanitary Sewer Design, latest edition. https://www.dpw.co.santa-cruz.ca.us/Portals/19/pdfs/Design%20Crit/2021%20DESIGNCRITERIA.pdf

Redline notes have been added to sheet C-1 at the request of the applicant (De Mattei Construction Inc) in order to address v2 plan check comments: SANITATION DISTRICT REQUIREMENTS:
Per sewer lateral video inspection submitted 08-15-2023, repairs are required to the private sanitary sewer lateral as a condition of this building permit. "Repairs required at ~66'-0' pipe material appears to change to orangeburg and material is out of round. This material shall be replaced with District approved alternative. ~90'-66' is aged cast iron" Contractor shall secure a separate sewer repair permit (no cost) from the Sanitation District directly prior to completing repairs. Sanitation District inspection is required.
