Standard scales are Scale 1" = 10 feet, 1" = 20 feet, 1/16" = 1 foot. Please also include the preparation date and all revision dates, as applicable. Please be sure all information is clear and consistent on all plan sheets and supporting documentation. Standard Site Plan Requirements 1. Assessor's parcel number (on all sheets). 2. Indicate all existing and proposed structures with uses noted, topographic contours within 10' vicinity of improvements(buildings, swimming pools, driveways, septic tanks, etc.). 3. Indicate structural setbacks from all property lines, edges of rights of way, and distances between all buildings. 4. Indicate lot size in square feet. Standard Elevation Requirements 1. Indicate ground contours including natural and finished grade (corresponding to contours on site plan). Conflicting information between sheets: Sheets 3 and 4 indicate slopes in the area of development and sheet 5 and 7 indicate a flat area of development. Please accurately and clearly indicate site conditions. Be sure to include any grading volume information. 2. Indicate the height of proposed development on all elevations. Measuring Height (santa-cruz.ca.us) The height of a structure is the vertical distance between the existing or finish grade, whichever is lower, to the uppermost point of the structure. Standard Floor Plan Requirements 1. Clarify structure size measured to the outside of the exterior walls. A round structure of 27’ diameter is 572 sq ft in size, for example. 2. Indicate the location of proposed plumbing fixtures and water heaters, including size, type and location. Both exterior and interior. 3. Include all electrical fixtures and locations, both exterior and interior. Accessory Structure Requirements A Declaration of Restriction to maintain a non-habitable storage will be required prior to permit issuance. This document will be prepared by staff at project approval.
