Comment - Sheet A1.0 - Provide accessible dining surfaces in accordance with
CBC 11B-226.1 through 11B-226.3 and an accessible baby diaper changing station
in accordance with 11B-226.4. 2nd Review
Comment: Baby Diaper Changing Table - Scoping section 11B-226.4 requires
compliance with 11B-902. Section 11B-902.2 requires a clear floor space
complying with 11B-305 (30" wide x 48" long) be positioned for a
forward approach. When the table is in the opened position, the toilet will be
in the clear floor space. 3. Accessibility
Comment - Sheet A1.0 - Provide a tactile & Braille exit sign at each exit
door. Provide a detail/detail reference showing full compliance with all
requirements of 2022 CBC 11B-703. Be sure to include the mounting height and
show the signs to be on the latch side of the door in the direction of egress. 2nd

Comment: Please provide Refrigeration component location on plan or include a
deferred submittal note for the refrigeration systems. 5. Type II hoods shall be installed above
equipment and dishwashers that generate steam, heat, or products of combustion,
and where grease or smoke is not present. [CMC 519.1] 2nd Review
Comment: A commercial dishwasher is shown in the Equipment list but does not
see the dishwasher shown on the ware washing floor plan. If a Dish washer is
installed it must be served by a Type II Exhaust Hood or be listed and approved
to operate without an exhaust hood (UL921). 6. 2nd
Review Comment: Plumbing – Potable water supply to beverage dispensers,
carbonated beverage dispensers, or coffee machines shall be protected by an air
gap or a vented backflow preventer in accordance with ASSE 1022. For carbonated
beverage dispensers, piping material installed downstream of the backflow
preventer shall not be affected by carbon dioxide gas. 2022 CPC sec. 603.5.12. Please
show backflow protection at each beverage dispenser or verify and note if
devices are ASSE 1022 listed/certified. 7. 2nd
Review Comment: Plumbing – Anti-siphon and/or backflow protection is required
at the Icemaker. 2022 CPC sec. 603.1. Please show any proposed Icemakers to be
protected with proper backflow device. 8. 2nd

required to be disinfected by chlorination. 2022 CPC Sec. 609.10 (1, 2, 3, 4).
