Onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) upgrade permit must be applied for and approved prior to approval of building permit application. Sewage disposal consultant to verify number of units proposed for garage remodel, report submitted for site evaluation is inconsistent. Provide a floor plan for the garage remodel. Proposed dispersal area for the OWTS must be fenced off during all construction activities and remain undisturbed. Notes to the affect must be present on the building plans. 1. Show
the septic system, including tanks, leachfield and leachfield expansion area on
any site plan pages, site improvement plan page C2.00, utilities sheet C6.02
and any drainage and grading plans. Also see #2 below for other notes required
on these pages.
2. Septic
system areas including the tanks, leachfield and all leachfield expansion areas
must be fenced off with temporary fencing during construction activities to
prevent driving on and disturbance of the soil in these areas. Show this on any
plan page that shows any parts of the septic system or drainage and grading
plans, and utilities sheets. These areas must remain undisturbed. Disturbance
of this area will result in the requirement for a revised OWTS design in an
unaltered area, and additional testing and fees to prove the revised area meets
standards.
3. Trenching
for electrical lines and cable, on pages E1.00 & E1.01, appears to run
directly through the areas reserved for the leachfield expansion areas. These
areas must remain undisturbed. Disturbance of this area will result in the
requirement for a revised OWTS design in an unaltered area, and additional
testing and fees to prove the revised area meets standards. Approval by Environmental Health is pending other department approvals.
