1.   Supervisor Coonerty absent
2.   Moment of Silence and Pledge of Allegiance

5.     CONSIDERED actions in response to the Summit Fire, which began on May 22, 2008;

ADOPTED RESOLUTION NO. 129-2008, which proclaims a local emergency exists, and ratifies the Proclamation of Existence of a Local Emergency issued by the Director of Emergency Services on May 22, 2008, with the following additional directions: (1) authorized the Department of Public Works to accept all debris from the Summit Fire at the Buena Vista Landfill at no charge, effective immediately and continuing through June 30, 2008; (2) directed the Planning, Public Works, and Environmental Health Departments to return on June 17, 2008, with plans to ease and streamline County policies and requirements as they apply to rebuilding, including ways to minimize permit fees and (3) directed the Environmental Health Services Department to request the assistance of the Emergency Watershed Protection program

Upon completion of any actions deemed necessary (i.e. acknowledgment, referral, etc.), these items are included in the Written Correspondence Listing under the appropriate heading. While these items are not part of the official record of meetings of the Board of Supervisors, they will be maintained by the Clerk of the Board for a period of two years, after which time they may be destroyed after the County's Historic Resources Commission has been provided an opportunity for review.
