1. Public Comment
No comments
2. Member check in.
3. Additions to agenda: Why, how much work involved?
4. Reports:
A. Hospitals
WCH does not track DV reports
DSCH does not track DV reports.
Both hospitals do make reports to Law Enforcement
Questions posed :
· might MDs want files retained that demonstrate their compliance with reporting laws?
· might reports be NCRd?
· Might copy be retained in patient record?
B. Probation
Parolees in County including DV = 2000
Batterers on parole (average) = 700, this includes harassment
Need to review success of programs, which include not-for-profits and for-profits.
Small % of Batterers sent to prison versus recovery programs.
Question raised: How many actually go to prison?
C. DA and Courts
Courts: Nothing done currently
Have the ability to review electronic data
All cases go to court whether DV with kids in common or not.
David might produce list of charges that we could follow.
DA Office: No regular information
Antiquated Case Management System
New system planned.
Does enter DV and SAP (?) into the system
Ultimately will have disposition related to case
However currently does not separate new cases.
D. Law Enforcement:
Sheriff Office antiquated, difficult to retrieve info
All 4 Municipalities on 1 system,
All info is entered as DV.
Crime Analysis available related o:
Gender
Age
Children
Location in municipality
Weapons
Injuries
Weekly report of all cases.
Other agencies identified with info that might be included:
CPS
Defensa
SANE/SART
