Memoranda of Understanding. Extra-help employees may receive
pay for jury duty when they are scheduled to work on a day when required
to serve as juror, provided they waive or remit the County the fee for
jury duty. Extra-help
employees may, with the prior approval of their appointing authority, be
granted two hours leave from work with pay to donate blood.
Extra-help employees do not receive holiday pay or any other type

APPOINTMENT OF EXTRA HELP EMPLOYEES TO POOL #0100 -#0100 Definition Procedure Operating Department
Complete form PER 113A OR PER 113B. PER 113A should be completed if the
extra-help candidate is NOT currently assigned to the pool and the
departments will employ the services of the candidate in the same or
alternating pay period. A New Hire Document or Action Form should be completed in the
usual manner, however, use #0110 as the department number and#0100 as
the org unit. PER 113B should be completed if a
department wishes to employ the services of an extra-help employee
currently assigned to the pool. TIME CARDS for pool employees are
to be completed to each department and submitted per instructions on
form PER 113A and PER 113B. Personnel Department Employment Services
The Employment Services Analyst will review form PER 113A or PER 113B for
completeness, the appropriateness of the classification and pay
requested and whether the candidate is certifiable from an eligible list
or meets minimum qualifications for the class where no eligible list
exists. Records Unit
Verify completeness of PER 113A or PER 113B
(including departmental or analyst signatures), attach a copy to
Action Form (if PER 113B is used, a copy is forwarded to Payroll), send
a copy to the operating department and file the original in Pool Folder

Verify Action Form is accompanied by PER 113A (if use of existing employee:
PER 113B) with departmental and Personnel authorization
signatures. Time cards
