Information regarding the Santa Cruz County procedures for layoffs is found in the individual unit memorandum of understanding available from the Employee Relations/Salary Administration Division of the Personnel Department.

Identical layoff provisions are found in all Memoranda of Understanding. These same provisions have been applied to unrepresented employees in budgeted positions, in the classified service (i.e., civil service).
