Appeal of Zoning Administrator decision on June 17, 2022: Proposal to demolish an existing 2,474 square foot single-family dwelling and construct a two-story 6,064 square foot replacement dwelling with an attached 332.5 square foot one-car garage, an attached carport, a 310 square foot covered loggia, covered decks and a 4,463 square foot basement that includes a habitable hallway/bathroom, an approximately 1.930 square foot non-habitable storage room with a half-bathroom and a garage/workshop. Requires a Coastal Development Permit, a Residential Development Permit for a Large Dwelling, a Variance to allow for a garage with a ceiling height of less than 7 feet 6 inches, a Pleasure Point Exception for a reduced second floor setback, a Site Development Permit for a basement containing a non-habitable accessory structure that exceeds 640 square feet in size, Design Review, and a determination that the project is exempt from the provisions of CEQA.

| Public hearing to consider report on the Year 2023 Growth Goal, adopt a resolution recommending a Year 2023 Growth Goal of 0.25% for the unincorporated portion of Santa Cruz County, and recommend the filing of the CEQA Notice of Exemption with the Clerk of the Board.

| The Sustainability Policy and Regulatory Update is a comprehensive update to Santa Cruz County’s General Plan/Local Coastal Program and modernization of the County Code. The goal of this update is to implement new policies and code regulations that support more sustainable communities in Santa Cruz County. The project includes amendments to General Plan Chapters 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, and related appendices, as well as amendments to Santa Cruz County Code Titles 5, 12, 13, 15, 16, and 18. The project also includes preparation of new Santa Cruz County Design Guidelines, map amendments for 10 key opportunity sites, and map amendments for 13 parcels to correct existing mapping errors. The proposed amendments to the General Plan, amendments to County Code Chapter 12.01 and Titles 13, 15, 16 and 18, and 11 of the proposed map amendments are also amendments to the County’s Local Coastal Program.
