Awards

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the Domestic Violence Commission would like to invite you to help honor individuals who have made a remarkable impact in our community helping those who have been victimized by domestic violence. The DV Commission will hold their Annual Awards Show this October and are looking for nominees. If you know of an individual who deserves special recognition for their outstanding performance in the area of domestic violence, we welcome your nomination. This year's awards will be limited to the following nine categories:

• Public Safety
• Advocacy / Direct Services
• DV Intervention / Batterer's Treatment
• Courts
• Innovative Programs
• Children / Youth
• Education / Outreach
• Medical
• Survivor

All nominees will be presented to the DV Commission during their September meeting and the awards will be presented during the Board of Supervisor's October session. Please submit your nominations by September 1st via email to:
