Review No:1
1. The plans are required to be signed by the California licensed architect responsible for the plan preparation.    [§5536.1, 6735 California Business and Profession Code]
 
2.  Please detail a minimum clearance around the water closets.  There shall be 60 inches (1524 mm) minimum measured perpendicular from the side wall and 56 inches minimum measured perpendicular from the rear wall.  [CBC 11B-604.3.1]
 
  
3. Please dimension and detail the service counter to comply with one of the following:
 
Parallel approach: Please detail a minimum 36” wide sales and service counter that is not more than 34” above finish floor.  A clear floor space shall be positioned for a parallel approach adjacent to the 36” minimum length of counter.  [CBC 11B-227, 904.4.1]  Forward approach:  Please detail a minimum 36” long sales and service counter that is not more than 34” above finish floor. Knee and toe space shall be detailed to comply with 11B-306 under the counter. [CBC 11B-904.4.2]
 
  4. Please include energy compliance documents for the hot water system and duct distribution.  Revise plans to correspond with the requirements in the documents.
 
5. Detail 5 on Sheet A4 is titled “compression strut” and it shows a 42” high partition wall.  Please clarify where this is on the plans.  If not applicable, please delete this detail.
 
6. Please revise the title of detail 4 on Sheet A4, as it appears to be a wall partition detail and is titled “T-bar connection at perimeter”.   If this detail does not apply to the project, please delete it.  
 
7. Please include water supply and gas supply isometrics.  Include pipe sizes specifications.
 
8. Please include a lighting schedule on the lighting plan, Sheet E3.
 
9. Please revise the energy compliance documents for lighting to include restaurant dining use, office, restroom and other used to correspond with the floor plans.  For area category method, use the allowed lighting power densities found in CA Energy Code Table 140.6C.  Check the areas of each use with the floor plan on A3.  
 
10. Please identify daylit areas and controls on the electrical lighting plan [CA Energy Code 130.1 (d)]
 
11. The responsible lighting designer needs to sign the declaration statements on the energy compliance forms.
